2008 Oregon Employers Traffic Safety Conference

Thank you for attending the 2008 Oregon Employers for Traffic Safety Conference on September 30. The content in these pages was presented at the conference and is now available to conference attendees.

While we are still compiling the information gathered from the evaluations you completed in order to plan for future events, one message came through loud and clear: you liked the length of the program, the location and especially appreciated the presenters and their topics. Based on the statistics that are gathered each year, somewhere everyday across the great state of Oregon one life is lost on its roads. As we head toward the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays, some of the deadliest times of the year on the highways, we encourage you to stress and practice the following to your co-workers and families:

• Buckle up
• Slow Down
• Don’t Drink and Drive
• Get your rest – don’t drive drowsy

Drive as if your life depends on it…because it does.
