ESC Member Company Award Program

Evergreen Safety Council believes in recognizing and rewarding those ESC Members who are actively pursuing and reinforcing the establishment of a positive safety culture in their workplace.

The Evergreen Safety Council's Member Company Safety Award is designed to recognize our members' efforts to promote a positive safety culture within their respective organizations. This annual award is presented to an organization who has demonstrated a focus on safety awareness through activities that are safety related and that management has chosen to support. John D. Spellman is the former Washington State Governor (1981-1985) and ESC's current Board Chairman.

To qualify, we ask for details of your safety efforts undertaken for the year. Examples of employee involvement and management commitment that helped foster a positive safety culture within your organization should be included in the application.

The award is presented at our Annual Membership Meeting. Nominations are accepted beginning December 1 each year. We encourage you to apply. ESC thanks you for helping to send your employees home safely and in good condition after each day's work.

Evergreen serves the businesses, governmental entities, and communities of the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska through the dissemination of safety and health information and the provision of safety and health training. We work very closely with Region X of the Federal Department of Labor/OSHA, whose service area is identical to that of the Safety Council. We also have a strong relationship with the Washington State staff (WISHA) as well as a growing relationship with the OR-OSHA and AK-OSHA staffs.

Funding for Evergreen comes from membership and fees for service. Membership is open and encouraged for all businesses seeking to improve safety and health for workers, their families, and the community.
