Course DescriptionPilot/Escort Vehicle Operator Training (P/EVO)The training standards for P/EVO certification and the Evergreen Safety Council (ESC) program comply with the standards and guidelines established by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Washington State Patrol (WSP). The training focuses on State regulations, procedures, safety practices and operator responsibilities. Candidates are required to complete a one-day (approximately 8 hours) training course including an examination. The exam for this course is open book and the candidate must achieve a minimum score of 80% to be certified. Once successfully completed, participants will receive the WSDOT P/EVO Certification card, which is valid for 3-years. The certification card may have a passport size picture attached and can be laminated. Otherwise, a driver’s license must be shown if asked for verification of identification. Note: Those with Washington State driver’s licenses must have the Washington certification. Classes:

Onsite TrainingThe P/EVO Course can be taught at your location for groups of 10 to 30 people. The cost for this training is $730.00 for up to 10 participants plus instructor expenses. A charge of $30.00 will be applied to each person over 10. Additional charges for evenings or weekend may apply. Contact ESC for more information and to schedule an onsite training session. OregonTo pilot an oversize load through Oregon, operators must attend and satisfactorily complete an Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) training.
