ESC offers four health and safety training programs:

Construction Safety Certifications

Construction Safety Specialist Certification

This course will be comprehensive, applying OSHA/L&I policies, standards and procedures to construction safety and health. The CSS will also increase the participant’s awareness of the safety and health hazards that may be encountered at a natural or human-made disaster site.

Construction Safety Trainer Certification

This 4-day training program is for those individuals who have completed ESC’s Construction Safety Specialist certification and who have at least 5-years in the industry.

CHST Preparatory Class

This is a review and preparation course for anyone preparing to take the Board of Certified Safety Professionals Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) Examination.

First Aid / CPR Training

Evergreen Safety Council uses American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) curriculum and materials for all our CPR and First Aid related courses. It allows flexibility for instructors to tailor the classes for their unique workplace needs and concerns.

As an employer, you are required by federal and state OSHA regulations to have First Aid/CPR training and supplies available in the work place. Workplace First Aid/CPR is all too important a training requirement not to be done with the best program and material available. You may find less expensive training, however, we feel confident you will not find a higher quality program.

Safety & Health Specialist Certification

This certification program is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation of knowledge in safety-related skills and activities. Each participant learns the state and federal health and safety regulations affecting all organizations. Successful completion of the training series and award of the certificate prepares the participant to perform basic safety and health duties for the employer with confidence.

The program consists of 22 safety and health topics, taught in 15 training sessions. Each session is 8 hours or one work day in length, covering one or two subjects. Classes are open to everyone without prerequisites or commitment to the total program. You can simply attend the classes that interest you, or complete the entire series to be certified as a Safety and Health Specialist.

  • Successful completion of identified classes within a 6 month period, will qualify you for the OSHA 10 Construction completion card.

Health & Safety Technician Certification

This interesting and informative set of topics is taught in 13 days of training over six months. It is designed to provide the participant with in-depth knowledge on a variety of technical safety and health topics. Safety topics include machine safety, mobile equipment safety, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and excavations (trenching and shoring). There is significant emphasis on industrial hygiene and safety science. Industrial hygiene topics include hazardous noise measurements and calculations and industrial ventilation/indoor air quality. There is also a one-day session on safety leadership philosophies and models.

  • Successful completion of identified classes within a 6 month period, will qualify you for the OSHA 30 Construction completion card.
