"Reality Check" Behind-the-Wheel Training

Evergreen Safety Council has partnered with SWERVE Driver Training to present a companion course to our defensive driving course options. While each course is offered independently, they also complement: Defensive Driving and Collision Avoidance. Both programs have been proven to reduce collisions for fleet vehicle drivers as well as personal vehicles drivers.

The EverSafe Driving Program is a certified instructor led defensive driving course that can be tailored to an organization’s specific needs. EverSafe Driving is usually presented in either a 2 or 4 hour time frame as a customized, on-site training at your organization's location. The "Reality Check", which is taught by SWERVE Driver Training Instructors, is a 4-hour behind-the-wheel course in Collision Avoidance that helps a driver develop a skill-set that will increase their ability to avoid collisions.

The program includes a minimum of classroom time as the main focus is hands-on behind-the-wheel training.  Attendees will learn the lifesaving power of high aim vision, as well as how to:

• Stop your vehicle without a skid

• Work with your Anti-Lock Braking System

• Emergency brake in a curve

• Back-up with greater accuracy

• Take evasive action when presented with an emergency
