TCS Pre-Class Information

Follow the steps below to get ready for your class.Ā

NOTE: All required documents must be submitted and approved before your certification will be issued. If your documents have not been received within 90 days following your class, you will have to start the process over, including retaking your course and paying the registration fee.Ā

Submit a copy of your Flagger certification

If you are enrolled in one of the following classes, you must submit a copy of your current Flagger card:

  • Oregon TCS recertification (1-day) course
  • Washington TCS certification (3-day) course
  • Washington TCS certification (1-day) course
  • Idaho TCS certification (2-day) course
  • Idaho TCS recertification (1-day) course.

Students enrolled in the Oregon certification (3-day) course do not need to submit a Flagger certification.

Certifications from Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington are accepted. To submit a copy of your Flagger certification, take a photo of it and email it to flagger@esc.org.

Submit a copy of your TCS or TCT certification (recert only)

If you are enrolled in a 1-day recertification course, you must complete this step in order to receive your new TCS or TCT certification.

You will be asked for this information during the registration process, and you may also be asked to show a copy of your card in class.

There are grace periods for TCS and TCT recertification:

  • Washington and Idaho TCS students have 6 months after their date of expiration to complete a recertification class.
  • Oregon TCS students have 60 days are their date of expiration to complete a recertification class.
Ā
If your certification has expired and you are past the grace period, you will need to enroll in the full 3-day course.

Have 2 people verify your work experience (full TCS only)

If you are enrolled in a full (3-day) certification course and seeking a TCS certification*, you must have 2 people submit verification of your 2000 hours of work experience.

They can do so by using our online verification form, or submitting a letter.

*Students seeking recertification or a TCT certification do not need to submit verification of experience.
